Front-End Engineer

Location Vilnius / Warsaw / London / Remote

Sedition is the leading platform committed to showcasing and selling art exclusively for screens. Since 2011 we have published more than 4,000 artworks from world renowned and emerging artists. Including artists like Tracey Emin, Bill Viola, Mat Collishaw and Yoko Ono. Currently, we are seeking to build a playback package to allow Sedition to become more accessible to all users. Enabling us to massively expand our platform by reaching more screens globally.

We are looking for a full-time and permanent front-end developer with strong knowledge of JavaScript, React and related technologies. You'll have a wide range of responsibilities and will work on creating innovative product features that solve the unique challenges presented by the digital art market.

What will you do

  • Implement well crafted UI designs using scalable and maintainable JavaScript and CSS code
  • Lead front-end codebase transition to React
  • Occasionally help with other technologies: React Native, Ruby
  • Plan iterations periodically and consult new product features
  • Write tests to support bug free releases

Skills required

  • Expert in JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Experience with React
  • Ability to write clean, high-performance and reusable code
  • Knowledge of modern web app build systems, server stacks, TDD
  • Bonus Knowledge of other technologies we use: Ruby on Rails, Objective-C, Swift, Electron, React Native
